QUOTE FROM THE HEART
In each issue of Heartsong, I will open with a
quote, poem or lyric, which I have found
inspiring and uplifting. Today, I have chosen a
quote that acknowledges the great need to speak
from our hearts in all circumstances.
"People have important things to communicate.
Speaking from your heart allows the emotionally
difficult, the ordinary, and the wonderful
things in our lives to be communicated and
received."
David McArthur and Bruce McArthur, The
Intelligent Heart
A NOTE FROM KIM
Welcome to today's issue of Heartsong! Happy
Father's Day to all the dad's, granddad's and
dad's to be, and to all of us celebrating our
wonderful father's today!
Thank you to all those who participated in my
teleclass on intuition, on the 13th. I hope you
all enjoyed it as much as I did! For those who
were unable to attend, don't worry! I'll be
offering the intuition class again within the
next couple of months. I'll let you know when
it's scheduled.
My next teleclass offering is this Wednesday,
June 21, at 7 PM, EST. The class is titled, "Got
ESP? You Betcha!" It will teach you four ways of
encountering extra sensory perception, (or ESP),
methods to hone and improve upon your ESP, and
practical uses for ESP in your life and in the
lives of those you love. Your investment for
this informative and fun class is $15. If you
enjoyed the intuition class, you'll enjoy this
one, as well. Or if you're new to my classes,
this would be a great starting point. You can
register securely right from my site, at:
http://www.kimloftis.com/classes.htm
You'll receive the dial-in
number immediately upon payment and
registration. Of course, if you have any
questions or would like any further info about
this or any other class I offer, please don't
hesitate to contact me, and I'll be happy to
help. I look forward to meeting you in class!
Enjoy the rest of today's Heartsong, and enjoy
the rest of June! Where does the time go?
Love,
Kim
FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE, WITH LOVE
A lighthouse serves as a beacon of hope in a
violent storm. A lighthouse sheds light on our
worries and troubles, and brings us joy and
peace. Therefore, in each Heartsong issue, I
will include an article, which will help to
guide you through the dark and troubled times,
or lighten and brighten your heart and life in a
special way. In today's Lighthouse article, we
will discuss the necessity of speaking out from
our hearts, in order to clearly express
ourselves to the world around us.
Speaking Our Heart's Truth
We've all experienced situations in which we've
been nervous to speak our own personal truth.
Perhaps it's a conversation about politics, and
we are shy about giving our opinion, feeling it
somehow insignificant or trivial. Or maybe we're
involved in a discussion of religion or
spirituality, and we don't feel comfortable
sharing our beliefs for whatever reason.
Speaking our own truths can sometimes be
difficult. We may fear that others will laugh at
us, ignore us, or, worst of all, reject us. We
want our opinions and our truths to be
respected, if not appreciated. How can we speak
our truths from a place of love and confidence
instead of a place of fear and anxiety?
I heard somewhere once that, "If God didn't want
us to speak, we wouldn't have been given the
faculty to do so." It's certainly a point worth
our consideration. We humans are the only
creatures who can use words to articulate our
needs, emotions, wishes and dreams. Because God
bestowed this gift upon us, shouldn't we use it
to try to make the world a better, more loving
place for all God's creatures?
It is also important to remember that sometimes,
we must break our silence once in order to gain
confidence in our words. Sometimes, when
beginning to speak from our hearts, we may feel
fearful or intimidated. But often, as we
continue to speak, this allows are confidence to
grow and our voice and conviction to strengthen.
Those first few words are often the hardest
part. But after that first sentence is uttered,
we are anxious to continue our dialog. If we can
speak from our heart once, doing it a second,
third and fourth time is often a good deal
easier.
When speaking about something which we hold near
and dear to our hearts, it is often simply a
matter of plucking up our courage before we open
our mouths. Ask God, in whatever way you worship
God, or your angels, to assist you in finding
the courage and confidence to speak your truth
with conviction and clarity. You may want to
call upon Archangel Gabriel, the messenger
angel, for assistance, as well. Speak lovingly
and passionately, allowing that love and passion
to radiate throughout your words and your
conversations. This will most likely be noticed
and appreciated by your listeners.
Finally, remember that, by speaking your truth,
you may be the catalyst for motivating another
to do the same. Saying your truth with passion,
whether others agree with you or not, often
inspires your listeners into sharing even more
of themselves, thereby strengthening the bonds
of friendship and sharing gifts of knowledge. If
people like Gandhi and Martin Luther King hadn't
stood up for causes they considered to be true
and just, imagine how different the world might
be today?
You may feel that your truth isn't as important
or emboldened as that of Gandhi, but it can
still spread knowledge and love, give hope, and
maybe even change lives. So, what are you
waiting for... raise your voice and speak your
heart's truth boldly, fervently, and with love.
By sharing from your heart, you touch the hearts
of others.
HOPE AND HEALING
All of us need to take the time to be gentle
with ourselves. Therefore, each issue of
Heartsong will include tips with which you can
nurture, pamper and transform all aspects of
your life. Enjoy!
Warm and Fuzzy Comfort
When I was about five, a tiny blue tick hound
puppy was brought into my life and my heart. My
dad named her Molly, and until the end of her
life, she and I were the closest of buddies. My
love and adoration for Molly was mutual, from
the time she was a cuddly puppy until the end of
her days on this Earth. Molly loved
unconditionally... she never judged, never
accused, never criticized and never assumed
anything. She just loved for the sake of loving
itself.
Friends like Molly can be so incredibly
beneficial in maintaining self-love and
self-esteem. Animals aren't harsh critics. They
don't nag us with questions or try to flatter or
belittle us. They listen when we talk to them
and are also perfectly content to just sit in
silence. The health benefits of having a beloved
pet are well documented. Pets remind us that we
are lovable and worthy. They also give us
somebody to care for and be a companion to.
If you have a pet, spend some time enjoying him
or her. Just take a few moments to have some fun
together, bask in your pet's love and adoration,
and show your pet how much he or she means to
you.
If you don't have a pet, or if you aren't an
animal lover, just spend some time contemplating
how much God unconditionally loves you. All of
us are worthy and loved in God's eyes, and God
is always there to take care of us and protect
us, no matter how bleak things may seem.
So, bask in the healing love of your special
animal friends, and in the sacred love of our
Creator.
HOME AND HEARTH
In this section of the newsletter, I will
provide tips to help you to bring your own
creativity, spirituality and unique talents into
your everyday life, and, more specifically, into
your home.
For Dad, with Love
Here in the US, we're celebrating Father's Day
today. Many of us have been running around
trying to find the perfect present for our
father. Remember that, sometimes, the perfect
present may be some words you've been meaning to
speak, a hug you've been meaning to give, or
even a smile you haven't bestowed in a while.
Sometimes we get so caught up in our gift
giving, on this holiday and on others, that we
forget that these simple acts are often the most
precious.
My dad has contributed so much to my life...
most notably in his love of, and appreciation
for nature. Today, let's enjoy honoring our
fathers and father figures, and giving them the
accolades they so greatly deserve. Share your
love with them, and know that will be the best
gift you could ever give them.
PRAYER FROM THE HEART
Each issue of Heartsong will feature a prayer,
either from my own heart, one which I hold dear
in my own life, or one suggested to me by
others. I hope they will speak to your spirit,
as well.
Dear God, give me the confidence to speak my own
truth with love and passion. Thank you for
loving us so unconditionally, and for giving us
others who love us so deeply, as well. Also,
please bless our father's, today and everyday.
We are so grateful to be your children, today
and always. Amen.
HEARTSONG REFLECTION
Until our next issue, reflect on how deeply you
are loved by our Creator. Remember that God
loves us no matter what, and also gives us the
ability to speak from our hearts with love, in
order that we might share our gifts, dreams and
insights with others. How can you touch another
life through your words this week?
Love, Light and Blessings,
Kim
